Synopsis

AIDEN
Just when I thought things were looking up, my entire life falls apart, thanks to some guy. Now I've sworn off men forever since I can't trust myself to pick the right one. And that's the moment I met him, the tall, dark, and handsome man with golden eyes. But I can't have him.My life is crumbling around my ears, and the last thing I need is to complicate it with a man in the picture.

Now if I could just get him to leave me alone...

PARKER
Begrudgingly I came home for the summer to blow off some steam after another failed relationship, intent on spending the summer alone to recover. But when a storm threatens a man out on the lighthouse pier, I run to save him. The moment my hand touches his skin, I hear a single word. Mate. But he's human, and I'm a werewolf. If I pursue him I'll be kicked out of the pack. And if I don't I'll be miserable for the rest of my life.

All I know is that I can't resist him. But can a werewolf and a human really find happiness together? I'm willing to sacrifice my place in the pack for him.

Maybe I'll just create my own pack so we can be together.

WARNING: This spicy wolf shifter romance contains jaw-dropping twists, sizzling love scenes, a cinnamon roll alpha, and a happily ever after that will leave you speechless. It should only be read by those who like their werewolves hot and their broken boys shown the love they deserve.

I'd given up hope that love would come my way. Gay werewolves aren't exactly popular in my neck of the woods. But when I stumble across my human mate, it turns my entire world upside down.

Chapter One Look Inside

Chapter One: Aiden
“Thank you for calling HAT Insurance; my name is Aiden. How can I help you?” I sighed into the phone for the seven hundredth time that day.
I winced as a barrage of angry sounds came flying at me from the other end of the line. Another day, another pissed-off customer. That’s what my life had become. However, as I glanced down at the clock on my screen, I realized the end of my shift was only a couple of minutes away. Clicking the mute button on the side of my headset, I breathed a sigh of relief. This would be my last call.
I glanced down at the ethernet cord connected to my computer. If I just pulled it, completely by accident, of course, I wouldn’t have to get yelled at anymore. I took a quick glance around my cubicle, making sure nobody was nearby. With a quick movement, I pulled the cord and pushed it back in, severing the connection for only a sliver of a second. The sound in my headset continued for a moment longer before it went silent; the angry curses cut off as a red flashing message popped up on my screen.
“Internet problem?” a deep voice said from behind me.
I whipped around in my chair, my heart thudding against my chest. I’d been caught for sure. I’d just gotten this job two months ago, and now I was going to lose it over a stupid lapse in judgment. For the past ten years, I’d been working my ass off to get a decent job, so I didn’t have to live paycheck to paycheck anymore. All of it was gone in less than ten seconds.
“What?!” I nearly shouted. “I just… I didn’t know… Something was odd…”
“Woah, woah,” the handsome face smiling back at me said. “It’s okay. You’re not in trouble.” He cocked one eyebrow, giving me a mischievous grin. “It looked to me like you were trying to fix your loose cord.”
“I… uh… yeah!” I agreed, finally catching on. “Yep, that’s it. Loose cord. Definitely.”
“See?” the man said. “Everything’s fine.” He glanced down at his watch. “And your shift is over. So go ahead and clock out.”
I breathed a sigh of relief. “Thanks.”
“I don’t think we’ve met. I’m James,” the handsome man said, holding out his hand. “I’m one of the supervisors for the department.”
“Aiden,” I replied, taking his hand. “I just started here a couple of months ago.”
“I thought you must be a new face.” His eyes flicked down my body, then back up. “And a handsome one, if you don’t mind me saying.”
I felt the heat rush to my cheeks. “Thanks,” I chuckled in embarrassment. “Although… I’m not sure you’re supposed to say stuff like that.”
“You’re right,” he replied with a nod. “My apologies.”
“Thank you, though,” I added, not wanting to sound unappreciative. “It’s been a while since anyone’s said anything like that to me.”
“Why’s that?”
“Haven’t had a lot of time to date with the new job and everything.” I began to shut down my computer, packing away my things for the night. “Just had a lot going on, ya know?”
“That’s understandable. I find myself not going on dates much anymore, either.”
I cocked my head to the side like a confused puppy. The guy was gorgeous. I thought he must be dripping in men, women, and everything in between.
“What’s your excuse?” I laughed. “And don’t say work. That one was mine.”
He smiled, running his fingers through his dark, perfectly quaffed hair. “Well, if I can’t use work… I’d say it’s because I haven’t run into anyone who’s really caught my eye.” He gave me a small wink. “Until now, that is.”
My heart sped up once more, and this time for a totally different reason. Getting caught doing something wrong was one thing, but getting hit on by the most handsome man I’d seen in months was something else. I knew he was a supervisor, and I shouldn’t be talking about that kind of stuff with him. But the way he looked at me made my defenses melt away. Those warm hazel eyes pierced right through me. Not to mention, I couldn’t tear my gaze away from the perfectly sculpted body peeking from under his overly tight shirt. He had his top two buttons undone, and the dark chest hair poking out was driving me crazy. I couldn’t catch a glimpse with the cubicle wall in the way, but the guy exuded big dick energy. I didn’t care how big it was, though. A sexy guy giving me the attention I craved was a rarity in my life. I’d take what I could get.
“Do you want to walk out together?” James asked, lifting one eyebrow. “My shift is over too.”
“S-Sure,” I stammered. “Just let me grab my stuff.”
“I’ll meet you at the scanner.”
I nodded, and he turned back toward the endless rows of cubicles, working his way to the back of the room where the supervisors sat. I couldn’t help but watch him go, his slacks so tight that I could easily tell he was wearing a jockstrap. Immediately my dick throbbed to attention at the mere thought of his muscular body standing over me as he slowly released the monster hidden in his jockstrap.
